Dominik Pütz received the degree of M.A. in 2007, after studying American Studies, German Studies, and History in Leipzig and Milan. He graduated with a study on “American Models of Integration and Social Mobility: The Case of Hispanics in the U.S. Armed Forces”, receiving the overall grade ‘very good’. At present, he is working on a dissertation examining trends in current American forced migration politics with particular regard to legislation in this field as well as in migration politics in general introduced following the terrorist attacks of 2001.
