
The Center for Sociocybernetics Studies Bonn is
conducted by Dr. Michael Paetau.
Michael Paetau is board-member of the "Research Committee on Sociocybernetics (RC51)" of the International Sociological Association (ISA), and was elected in November 2010 the new editor of the "Journal of Sociocybernetics". From 2004 to 2005 he was professor for media and communication science at the University of Siegen, and from 2002 to 2004 Professor for Communication Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
From 2005 to 2008 he was responsible for strategy development at the Fraunhofer Institut für Intelligente Analyse und Informationssysteme (IAIS), Sankt Augustin, Germany, near Bonn. Bevor (1999 - 2002) he was speaker of the research department «Informed Sustainability« of the Institute for Autonomous Intelligent Systems of the German National Research Center for Information Technology (GMD).
Since 2008 Michael Paetau is president of the Asssociation "Cultures of Knowledge" (Wissenskulturen e.V.).
